Glenn C. Nead, 84, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017, in Birmingham, Alabama. He was born in Elyria and graduated from Elyria High School. Glenn attended Ohio State University and graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He then served his country in the Air Force as an air traffic controller stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He continued in the Air Force Reserves for a number of years after the war. He began his career at Ford Motor Company and New York Central Railroad before accepting a job at Eastern Airlines in Miami, Florida. He later retired from Federal Express in Memphis. Tennessee. He and his wife, Barbara, enjoyed traveling the world and loved spending time together. He was never able to recover from her death in 2015. They will both be missed by family and friends and will be remembered in cherished memories. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara (McNutt) and his parents, Percy and Sue (Cousins) Nead. He is survived by his daughter, Allison Brown (Mark) and his son, Kelly Nead (Joy): grandsons Thomas Brown (Gabrielle), Michael Brown (Laura), Travis Nead and Cameron Nead. A graveside service will be held for Glenn and Barbara at Ridge Hill Memorial Park on July 21, 2017 at 11:00 am.
