Walter C. Glover, 85, of Lorain, died Wed, September 6, 2017 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
He was born June 15, 1932 in Lorain and had been Lorain resident for the past 25 years moving from Vermilion.
Walter was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War.
Walter worked for BFI, Elyria for many years, retiring in 1981. He had also worked at McGarvey's Restaurant and Erie Lanes Bowling, Vermilion.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #397 and enjoyed bowling.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen (nee Brauninger) Glover and his sisters, Delores Rockwell and Helen Shirley Schrenkel.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of Military Honors presented by the Vermilion Veterans Council at 12 noon. Funeral services will immediately follow the Military Honors at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
