Wardine "Dean" Ingram (nee: Harper), 92 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017, following a full and meaningful life

She was born October 16, 1924, in Pittsboro, Mississippi. Dean was raised in Bruce, Mississippi and moved to Memphis in 1943. She had made her home in the Lorain County area for the last fifty-nine years.

She was employed as a Beautician by trade. Dean also transported cars for Ed Mullinax until the age of 80. She was a charter member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Amherst where she taught Sunday school. Her hobbies included gardening, knitting, and canning.

Survivors include her son Brian Keith (Rae Nell) Ingram of New London; her daughter Jane Lynn Smith (Robert) of Lorain; one granddaughter Courtney Smith of Weymoth, Mass; her sister Jean Drumwright of Collierville, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years Jennings A. Ingram on May 6, 1993; her sisters Ernestine Wilson in 1981 and Dorothy Calabio in 1991; and her parents Hubert S. and Lillian Harper (nee: Collins).

Friends may call Thursday, October 5, 2017 , from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Friday, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev.Steve Mayes, pastor of Good Shepherd Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Good Shepherd Baptist Building Fund; 1100 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst, OH 44001.
