Wilbert W. "Dutch" Milligan Jr., age 82 and a resident of Lorain, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at Ames Family Hospice, Westlake, after a long illness
Dutch was born June 25, 1935, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Wilbert W. Milligan Sr. and Helen M. (nee Johnson) Milligan. He was a car salesman, retiring in 2000. In the past, Dutch was the head candy maker at Faroh Candies, Lorain. He was a member of the Cadillac LaSalle Club. Most of all, Dutch loved spending time with his extended family and cooking for them.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years Mildred Louise (nee Smith), eight children; Roy (Mary) Smith of Elyria, Brian (Linda) Milligan of Elyria, Cheryl Kuhns of Sheffield Village, Melinda Shenker (Randy Barron) of Lorain, Michelle Smith of Tennessee, John (Alma) Milligan of Lorain, Kurt Milligan of Elyria, Ronda Hilton (Bud Wooten) of Lorain, 58 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, brothers Bill (Mary) Milligan of Florida and Tom (Irene) Milligan of Pennsylvania, and his sister Colleen Angelo of Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, Dutch was preceded in death by his daughters Karen Richardson and Tressa Nichols, infant son Kevin Joseph Milligan, infant daughter Mary Joseph Milligan, granddaughter Kayla Hilton, and his brother Mike Milligan.
Family will receive friends 2-5 p.m., Sunday, at Grace Baptist Church, 719 Root Road, Lorain. There will be a 5 p.m. funeral service at the church. Private family interment in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
